Burning in legs- reasons & solution
Burning in pain is normally a symptom of neuropathy.

Reasons:
- Neuropathy of leg may be appearing due to past injury in leg or feet, in starting you feel pain in leg & then burning sensation appears. Sometimes pain feel as if preeking of needles in feet with numbness sensation. This may appear at any time of day but mainly appear during night.
- Mainly due to diabetes either TYPE-1 DIABETES (which is from birth) or TYPE-2 DIABETES, in this you also feel that burning in feet.
- Kidney diseases from long time.
- Due to deficiency of VITAMIN B-12(COBALEMINE), VITAMIN B-6(PYRODOXINE), VITAMIN B-8(FOLIC ACID) in food.
- Bad habits of drinking alcohol & smoking.
- Hypothyroidism
- Overdose of VITAMIN B-6 tablets.
- Side effects of treatment of some disease like cancer,T.B., or poisonous effect of medicines like arsenic, mercury.
- Swelling in blood vessels.
- Cellulitis in leg by some insects bite.
- Fungal infection of legs, feet & toes (athlete foot).
- Peripheral artery disease in which impaired blood circulation or slow circulation of blood in legs & in this condition you feel pain and burning in legs.
- GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY.
Now how to diagnose:
Consult your doctor and according to his suggestion do blood tests, x-ray, C T SCAN. ELECTROMYOGRAPHY, NERVE CONDITION STUDY & IF REQUIRED NERVE BIOPSY.

SOLUTION:
- In diabetic neuropathy this symptom will recovered only by controlled your blood sugar level. Take prescribed medicines or injections regularly.
- If due to deficiency of vitamins take tablets or injections as prescribed by your doctor.
- Completely stop drinking alcohol and smoking.
- Consult your doctor and take proper treatment of hypothyroidism if diagnosed.
- In case of kidney disease follow your doctor’s advice.
- After consulting your doctor, you can also take medicine for burning and pain.
